Meet your speakers: Rick Fischer

About Rick:

Rick Fischer is a SharePoint Architect/Engineer at Oracular, a WI based IT consulting firm. His attitude towards any technology is, “I don’t know it all, but I will figure it out”. He finds technology fascinating due to its vast ever-changing nature. There is so much to investigate that he likes to say, “Every day I come to work, I find out I know less”. This attitude along with his perfectionist streak has taken him from being an educator with a BS in Education to being a MCITP in Server 2008 and MCTS for SharePoint 2007 and 2010.

Since good isn’t good enough, he has plans to pursue his Masters in Technology — if he gets time away from work, hunting, fishing, camping, maintaining his 4300sq ft. garden and helping every friend and neighbor that seems to call with computer problems!

About Rick’s Presentation:

Are You Drowning in a Sea of Data? InfoPath, SharePoint, and Workflows Can Help You Swim To Safety!
Why and How to Start Swimming?

With all the data in the world, managing paper forms, compiling data and following business processes may seem impossible! The digital world has offered solutions that may provide some solace and management capability, however, they only go so far. Taking the step to leverage a toolset that has the ability to not only collect, but also store data and conform to business processes with automation offers a new beginning.

The WHY has now been answered, but the HOW is still to be seen….

The opportunity is here to see how InfoPath offers the collection medium, SharePoint can provide the repository to store the data, and Workflows can automate and enhance the business processes that are already in place.
